Mushroom Pan Sauce Recipe

Serves: 4
  • ½ c. organic dry red wine
  • 1 whole organic shallot, chopped
  • 1 c. organic white button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves organic garlic, chopped
  • 1 c. Imagine Organic Free Range Chicken Broth
  • 2 Tbsp. organic, grass-fed butter
  • 1 Tbsp. organic balsamic vinegar
  • 1 c. Woodstock Farms Organic Shiitake Mushrooms
  1. Add butter to a medium safe saute pan over medium high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and shallot, and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the mushrooms and vinegar. Cook, stirring, 2 minutes more.
  4. Pour in the wine and broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Simmer 8-10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the thyme, salt and pepper.
  7. Serve.
