A recent study published in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine examined the effects of fiber, potassium, magnesium and calcium on the risk for preeclampsia.

Potassium and Preeclampsia: Reduce Your Risk with

Using a food frequency questionnaire, researchers found that a diet high in both potassium and fiber significantly reduced the risk of preeclampsia. They also found intake of fruits and vegetables, low-fat dairy products, dark bread and cereal were also associated with a reduced risk.

To provide preeclamsia-preventing potassium be sure to regularly include these nutrient-dense, low glycemic foods in your diet:
