  • ½ tsp. organic ground nutmeg
  • 1 c. organic pomegranate juice
  • 2 medium organic pears
  • 1 tsp. organic vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Slice pears in half lengthwise and core. Pour pomegranate juice in a baking dish and mix in vanilla and nutmeg. Place pears, flesh side down, in pomegranate juice. Cover with a lid or foil. Bake for 30 minutes; the pomegranate juice will permeate the pear and give it color. Serve warm with a dollop of yogurt or crème fraiche, or a drizzle of kefir, if desired.
