Garnet Yams with Cherries Recipe

Serves: 4
  • 1 tsp. ground organic cinnamon
  • 2 medium organic garnet yams or sweet potatoes
  • 2 c. frozen organic cherries (try Cascadian Farm)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake yams for 30 minutes or until just soft inside. Remove from oven and slice in half lengthwise. "Stud" yams with cherries-approximately 5-6 frozen cherries per half yam. Place on a baking sheet and return to oven. Bake an additional 10 minutes or until cherries are hot and juicy. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.
