Chilled Espresso Custard Recipe

Serves: 4
  • 2 tsp. organic espresso powder
  • 2 packets Truvia: Nature's Calorie-Free Sweetener
  • 4 twists organic lemon
  • 1 ½ c. organic milk
  • 2 large organic eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. organic vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. organic cinnamon, for garnish
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sweetener, espresso powder, and vanilla.
  2. Pour into four 6-ounce custard cups or ramekins and place in a 10" skillet. Fill the skillet with water to ½" from the tops of the custard cups.
  3. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the cups from the skillet, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled (at least 1 hour).
  6. Garnish with cinnamon and lemon twists.
  7. Serve.
