Luo Han Guo

Luo han guo is an all natural, low glycemic sweetener from the fruit of Siraitia grosvenori– a member of the Curcurbitacea, or gourd family.

It has been used as a medicinal herb for treating cough and sore throat and is popularly considered, in southern China, to be a longevity aid.

Mogrosides, which are water extracted from the Lo Han fruit, offer a pleasant, sweet taste without elevating blood sugar. In fact, Lo han guo mogrosides are up to 250x sweeter than sugar, yet provide a mere 4 calories per teaspoon.

Mix with tea, coffee, or other beverages, desserts and foods to sweeten as desired.
