Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP)

Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) is a condition where numerous polyps–growths that protrude from mucous membranes–form on the inside walls of the colon and rectum. This condition increases the risk for colorectal cancer and is also called familial polyposis.
