Protect Your Peepers with Tea

A sip to save your sight

by Kelley Herring

If you have diabetes, you probably know that your vision is at risk. The good news is that a simple change may help save your sight, according to new research.

A study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry examined the potential for green and black tea to prevent cataracts in people with diabetes.

For 3 months, green and black tea were given to subjects with chemically-induced diabetes. After the study period, researchers examined the subjects and found that both green tea and black tea prevented diabetic cataracts.

Make tea your tonic of choice and you might just save your sight.
