This Recipe:

Preparation

  1. Heat a large, safe, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon and cook until crisp. Drain and reserve bacon.
  2. Return skillet to stove over medium high-heat. Add the chicken and lightly brown.
  3. Layer the onion, mushrooms and garlic in a slow cooker. Add the chicken, bacon, salt, pepper, thyme, bay leaf. Pour in red wine and chicken stock.
  4. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  5. Remove bay leaf and serve.

This seems to have the directions for Coq au Vin instead of the directions it should have, as there is no bacon or mushrooms listed in the ingredients.
