Hot Spinach Dip

This Recipe:

Preparation

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In a large pot heat oil over medium. Add onion and garlic; cook until fragrant, 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add spinach in two additions—letting the first batch wilt before adding the next. Cook until completely wilted, 5-8 minutes.
  4. Transfer to a colander and drain all liquid. Coarsely chop spinach.
  5. In the same pot, add milk and heat over medium high heat. Add cream cheese and whisk until combined. Add spinach, Worcestershire, hot sauce and 1/4 cup mozzarella; stir to combine. Season with salt and fresh pepper, to taste.
  6. Pour into a lightly oiled shallow baking dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake until golden and bubbly—about 20 minutes. Serve hot with crudités and crisp, thin baguette slices.
