Phase 2 Detoxifying Enzymes

Phase 2 detoxification enzymes are produced by the liver and include glutathione S-transferase and quinone reductase.

Reactions in the body that are catalyzed by phase 2 enzymes promote the elimination of drugs, toxins and cancer-causing agents. Because of this, phase 2 detoxifying enzymes may help to reduce free radical damage that leads to premature aging and also help ward off cancer.
