Greener Planet is a totally new concept that brings together like-minded organic winemakers and growers from around the world; all of whom share the commitment to make wine that tastes delicious, represents a value and is produced earth-friendly without damaging the environment. To qualify for Greener Planet, each vineyard must be certified organic by an internationally accredited organization.
Domaine de Petite Roubié participates in the concept by supplying Greener Planet with Shiraz, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon from their hand picked, organic vineyards near the medieval walled city of Carcassonne at the foothills of Montagne Noire in Languedoc, France. The eco-friendly decisions made in the vineyard are always based on the Domaine’s mission of earth-friendly production.
Greener Planet is bottled in partially recycled glass and the label is made from recycled paper and printed with sustainable inks. The grapes are certified organic by ECOCERT, a world leader in organic certification and are accredited for National Organic Program (NOP) certification.
Greener Planet Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of organically grown Shiraz (40%), Merlot (40%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) grapes grown near the medieval walled city of Carcassonne and the Montagne Noire – the black mountain - at the western end of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc. It offers spicy, blackberry, peppery notes with lush cherries and cassis. The vibrant and opulent fruit notes are deeply flavored with plenty of vanilla, mocha, and spices that linger on the palate. Enjoy with grass-fed beef, hearty vegetarian dishes, or on its own.
