Cereal


Cereal is a made from a variety of "cereal" grains including wheat, oats, rye, corn, barley, rice, buckwheat, millet, amaranth, and quinoa.

Most cereals (even those tauted as "healthy") have a high glycemic load and contain added sugar. Look for high-fiber cereal made from whole grains that contains less than 5 grams of sugar per serving.
